Shoelessness

Hi there! Thank you for visiting my website. Hopefully you have seen some stuff in my portfolio that might appeal to you. Let me also give you a little introduction of who I am. I am Irene Tjebbes, a 29 year old self thaught Makeup Artist, based in The Hague, The Netherlands. When I was in high school I was absolutely fond of the drama, theatre and musical activities but I have no acting talent or what so ever and (hate to admit it) a huge stage fright. So I started to meddle myself into everything else involved. Decor, costumes, the choir and... the makeup :)
The Makeup artist there saw my interest and creativity and decided to take me by the hand and teach me everything she knew. I did the Makeup for the theatre recitles for about 4 years. After I left high school I only did makeup on myself for a while, but your own face is of course the very best canvas to start with. In 2012 I met my partner, photographer Jarmal Martis. He started to see that whenever I was bored or trying to procrastinate, my life was full of makeup. So when he found out I had done makeup for theatre in the past he motivated me to get this wheel turning again and start my makeup artistry once again. As you can see in my portfolio we did many projects together in the beginning of our journey in photography and makeup, and eventhough we do not have that same time anymore right now, I hope to still do many more :)
In september 2013 I registered at KVK and since then Shoeless Makeup was a fact. I made this website to put all my favorite creations in one place. If you would like to collaborate with me, leave me a message ;) xoxo
